Experience a one-of-a-kind stay in the Bergerac region of France. This package includes two rooms for a one-night’s stay for up to four people at the historic mansion Hôtel de Cours de Thomazeau in the Dordogne and a winery tour with internationally renowned author Martin Walker.

Author, historian, and recipient of the Federation AFUSA’s 2021 Prix Charbonnier Award, Martin will be your personal guide on a tour of several wineries in the Bergerac area in the Dordogne region of Southwest France. This is truly a bespoke event since Martin’s tour will include some wineries that are not usually open to the public.

This daylong excursion will include lunch as well as dinner, apéritifs, and an intimate historical account of the Périgord region of France by Martin at the Hôtel de Cours de Thomazeau - the finale of a truly unique experience. After dinner and drinks with Martin Walker, simply walk up the stairs to your charming hotel room in the mansion.

Package includes lunch, two rooms for a one-night stay at the Hôtel de Cours de Thomazeau, dinner with wine, and breakfast for your party of four. Winery tour transportation not included.  Special pricing at the mansion Hôtel de Cours de Thomazeau is available at 135€ for each additional night (over and above the night which is included in the package). Bookings for additional nights must be made when making reservations for winery tour stay. 

Valid: March 1, 2024 - February 28, 2025; arrange for a mutually agreeable date with Martin Walker.

The winning bidder (couple of two, maximum) must provide their own transportation to the area, which is 20 minutes south of the city of Bergerac. Expansion of your group to 6 persons max could be accommodated as a separate cost from this core package.
