New Ciné-Club!

The Alliance Française de Reno-Tahoe is thrilled introduce you to our new Ciné-Club that will be showing recent, independent and acclaimed movies from all over the French-speaking world.

Watching a movie in French and chatting with other guests is an excellent way for you to practice or maintain your French language outside the classroom.

Our students are invited to join this event for free.

Saturday, Feb. 15th, 2025 showing:

A comedy (with English Subtitles) that takes the journey as a metaphor for life, almost like a Road Movie, but on a donkey, through the beautiful countryside of the Cévennes.

Antoinette, a schoolteacher, eagerly awaits her summer vacation planned with her lover, Vladimir. Upon learning that Vladimir cannot come because his wife has organized a hiking trip in the Cévennes, she decides to follow in their footsteps.

Antoinette, institutrice, attend avec impatience ses vacances d'été prévues avec son amant Vladimir. En apprenant que Vladimir ne peut pas venir car sa femme a organisé une randonnée dans les Cévennes, elle décide de suivre leur trace.

Before the screening, enjoy Cocktails, coffee, snacks and sandwiches, or partake in a selection of new culinary offerings prepared by Chef Colin Smith of Roundabout in the Museum's Café.
