Guided by Andreas Steckenborn, an experienced volunteer, who will help facilitate discussions and provide not only valuable feedback, but also lots of fun facts along the way.

Personal note from Andreas:

  • I love learning about new languages and cultures. I grew up bilingual in Canada but was fortunate enough to learn Mandarin in China, and I have participated in and organized conversation groups that have allowed me to meet people who are passionate about linguistics. My other interests are outdoor activities such as fishing, canoeing, and bird watching.

These meet-ups are the perfect way to sharpen your language skills, stay inspired in your learning, and connect with others who share your love for French!

Sat. Jan. 18th, 2025

A warm welcome to Laurence Rose, also an experienced volunteer and French native, Laurence will help facilitate discussions and provide participants valuable feedback on day to day activities and on your interests.

She will replace Christophe Soulet when he is away...skiing!

Personal note from Laurence:

I was born and raised near Nîmes, in the South of France. I always loved foreign languages as a way to discover new cultures. Growing up I learned English, German and Italian.

After graduation, I spent a couple of years in Germany and then moved to the United States. I enjoy the Alliance Française events as they offer wonderful opportunities to showcase everything French and to meet fellow Francophiles. My other interests are hiking, reading, watercolor and yard work.
