Her journey with the French language started when she was taking Norwegian classes in Norway...

I remember when I was living in Drammen Norway and taking Norwegian classes there was a beautiful French woman and when she spoke French, I was mesmerized by the beauty of her language.  When I learned Norwegian, I began taking French classes in Aamot,Norway…when I retired I decided that I really wanted to get serious and speak, read and write French. I  began taking classes at Alliance Française in San Francisco.

The French culture is filled with charm and elegance. The French live their lives by having beauty around them. The museums are filled with art and treasures and there are many museums in France.  I love spending a day in art museums in Paris to see these French masterpieces…..and going to French bistro afterwards for a cafe and a pastry.

They live in charming towns…with architecture structures from centuries past. They walk to grocery stores, bread and meat stores to have the best quality of food.  You will never eat a meal that isn’t “five stars”.

You can always spot a person from France, by the way they dress…elegant and stylish.

Of course, the wine in France is amazing.  The best thing I liked to do was to take a baguette, some cheese and wine and have a lunch in one of their  magnificent parks…and walking through a French park gives me a sense of peace and gratitude.

I think the best way to learn French is to take a course through Alliance Française…have a tutor…participate in events that encourage conversing in French.
